Hanukkah begins on Tuesday and guess what we’re making this year? Jelly Donuts! Also known as sufganiyot in Israel, these irresistible treats are traditional Hanukkah fare. And we can’t forsake tradition now can we?

When it comes to Hanukkah, most folks don’t think about beignets. But in our home these fried donuts are a holiday tradition, and we love to fill them with Nutella.

I hope you make these apple cinnamon buns soon. They are fluffy and gooey and sticky and sweet in all the right ways. That diced apple is mixed in with all that cinnamon sugar makes them perfectly suited to this time of year too. Just don’t blame me if you eat more than one in a sitting.

Coffee drinks with a little something extra are just the thing for lazy Sunday mornings. Today honey-vanilla lattes, served with slices of my husband’s blueberry buckle and jazz music playing in the background.

This adorable version of ‘Ten in the Bed’ is a great way to practice early subtraction skills with toddlers who can count to ten.

Today we discovered a robin’s egg nest, took kaleidoscope photos and added strawberries and mini pumpkins to our container garden. Altogether an awesome day.

Spring is here and we were finally able to do something I’ve been looking forward to for months: plant those seeds we started back in April and setup a toddler snacking garden! (Plus an herb garden for mommy.)
