I wasn’t going to publish these until later this month, but last year’s post on free pumpkin carving patterns for kids is getting so many visits right now that I figured I might as well put the new ones up!
I’m always excited about Halloween about this year the munchkin is getting into it too. So while looking for patterns this year I tried to find pumpkin stencils that I thought he’d really like. The result: Lightning McQueen, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train and even a pirate stencil in this collection. My son has started calling our Labrador Retriever his “scurvy dog” so I’m guessing he’s going to get a kick out of a pirate pumpkin on the balcony!
If you’d like even more stencils, be sure to check out last year’s collection with an additional 15 patterns. :)
Note: Use the “click for pattern” link below each image to print the templates.

My name is Ari. :) I'm a work-at-home mom and entertainment director for my 3-yr-old son, a.k.a. The Munchkin. We love doing fun art activities, singing songs and making tasty things in the kitchen. Nice to meet you!

Cute! Thanks for saving me the time that I’d have otherwise spent googling patterns :)
I wonder how the eyes and mouth of the Friendly Ghost are held in the pumpkin, when
they aren’t connected? Any ideas?
You are supposed to cut out the black portion of the pattern, so the eyes and nose are held in place by the rest of the ghost.
Sometimes if there is a tiny part that is supposed to stay attached but doesn’t, a toothpick will do the job too!
wow these are great!!
